Barbara L. Meyers

MADISON - Barbara L. “Barb” Meyers, age 72, of Madison. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov 17, 2021 at UW Hospital. She was born on Dec. 8, 1948, the daughter of Gerald and Esthter (Hollman) Gahl. Barb graduated from Beloit High School 1967. She worked as a processing agent for most of her career, retiring in 2018. Barb enjoyed reading a variety of authors, from Stephen King to Nora Roberts. She competed in and won, several international tug-of-war competitions. Barb and her significant other, Arthur “Art” Kerl, were on several bowling leagues. Barb loved her annual trips to Florida with Art, as well as all the other precious memories they shared throughout the years. She enjoyed having her cats, Mr. Peabody and Henry, around to keep her company. Barb cherished spending time with her granddaughter Sarah, from shopping to baking Christmas cookies. She especially enjoyed the holiday season. Barb is survived by her significant other, Art Kerl; son, Mike Meyers; and granddaughters, Sarah (Kurt) Sontag and Emily Meyers.
