Zebzag Lee Yang

MADISON - Zebzag ‘Zé-za’ Lee Yang, 71, of Madison passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021. Zebzag was born Aug. 16, 1950, to Tong Ze Lee and Xong Yang. The joy of Zebzag’s life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was always very loving and welcoming. She was born and raised in Laos. She was married to Chukim, a Lao veteran who served in the Vietnam War. From Thailand, they traveled to the United States as refugees. She learned English and adapted to a new lifestyle. She received her GED and went on to pursue sewing and culinary careers. She enjoyed sewing clothes, needlework with beads, gardening, and cooking. Zebzag leaves behind three daughters, Mai Lee, Linda (Long) Vang and Nalee (Anthony) Simonds; and five sons, Lee Vong, Tha (Maitong), John (Mai Kou) and Chai, Yim Laj; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother. A funeral service and visitation will be held at Gunderson Oregon Funeral and Cremation Care, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, followed by burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery at 3 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
