Wanda Marie Thornton

MADISON - Wanda Thornton, age 65, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at UW Health and Clinics surrounded by her family. She was born on Feb. 29, 1956, the daughter of Fredrick and Cecilia (Carpenter) Rathbun. She married Daniel Thornton on May 4, 2012. Wanda always had an open door and helped anyone anytime she could. She was such a giving person who loved others wholeheartedly. She loved her husband and her children "to the moon and back". Wanda is survived by her husband, Daniel; children, Misty Chamness, Terry Albright, Jeff Ingersoll, Mindy Albright, Mandy Albright, Jennifer Mangrum, Julie Ingersoll, John Ingersoll and Ronald Ingersoll; sister, Debbie Graves; two brothers, Donald Rathbun and Fred Rathbun; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and others who called her, ‘Mom.’ She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Albright; sister, Linda Mathis; and brother, John Rathbun.
