Obituary
MADISON-Dorothy M. Stormer, age 94, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at Milestone Senior Living. She was born on Feb. 20, 1927, in LaValle, the daughter of Harry and Julia Warren. She married James T. Stormer on Aug. 18, 1945, in Madison.
Dorothy lost her husband, James, to a duck hunting accident at the age of 36 and dedicated herself to raising her two children. She worked in many management jobs, often in doctor’s offices. Dorothy worked into her 80’s when she finally decided to retire.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Jim (Melissa) Stormer and Kate Stormer (Judy Captain); sister, Lois (John) Liddicoat; brother, Dean Warren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Julia Warren; husband, James Stormer; brother, Robert Warren; and sisters, Ruth Morrison, Beverly Manner, Betty Ann Gibson and Phyllis Day.
Due to COVID, a celebration will be held in the future. Memorials may be made to Milestone Senior Living or Brighton Hospice in appreciation for their excellent care and the love they showed to Mom.

I met Dorothy as she and my father dated for several years. She was a kind and accepting woman to both myself and my sister. I always looked forward to spending time with her as she made us all laugh, was a wonderful cook, and made us feel as though she was happy for us to be there.

Aunt Dorothy, I'm so glad I got a chance to visit with you a couple of weeks ago. You were always so sweet and happy. Mom loved you so and shared your enjoyment of shopping the sales! You were blessed with the loving care of Kate, Judy, Jim and Melissa.

I used to take care of Dorothy on assited living side she was so sweet to me and always offered me a Mountain Dew and cookies because I was pregnant at the time :) she was such a sweet lady I know she’s in a wonderful place as if as wonderful as she is love her so very very much I’m just now seeing this that she passed and it made me sad I love that I got to know her and hear her stories
