James "Jimbo "Lander

MADISON - James M. “Jim” Lander, age 61, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021. He was born on March 13, 1960, in Georgia, but his parents, Cecil and JoAnn Carveth, moved to Madison when Jim was a young man. He attended LaFollette High School and then served in the U.S. Army National Guard during the Vietnam Conflict. Jim was united in marriage to Anita Millard on Oct. 31, 1993, and together they shared 28 years of fun and laughter. Jim worked as a cross country truck driver before starting his family. Later, he worked for Capital Cartridge, where he spent the majority of his career. He also enjoyed working at Fresh Madison Market, downtown, up until his retirement. Jim was an avid Packers and Badgers fan. His pride, joy and focus were his family. He was always eager to join along in their activities and in his gentle way, had the ability to make the little things around his family more special. Jim is survived by his wife, Anita; daughter, Brandy (Matthew) Street; and grandchildren, Airus-Rose Street and AudreyNichole Street. He was preceded in death by his parents.
