Obituary
MOUNT HOREB - Gary Roger Leuzinger, age 67, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at UW Hospital. He was born on April 10, 1954, in Monroe, the son of Leland and Hilda (Waefler) Leuzinger.
Gary graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1972. He married Debra Goke on May 21, 1977, in Mount Horeb. Gary worked as a construction worker for Maly Roofing, retiring in 2014.
Gary was strong and independent and a jokester with a great sense of humor. He was an avid guitarist and loved music. Some of his favorite hobbies were camping, woodworking, watching the Packers, hunting, playing horseshoes, participating in bowling leagues and playing card games. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, and his best fury pal Fred.
Gary is survived by his wife, Debra Leuzinger; two sons, Joe (Rachel) Leuzinger and Andrew (Jahvana) Leuzinger; grandchildren, Joseph Honor and Ronnalee Leuzinger, Alexander and Kira Leuzinger, and Sarah (Josh) Miller; great-grandchildren, Anastasia and Charlie Miller; four brothers, Steve (Kathy) Leuzinger, Jim (Betty) Leuzinger, Jeff (Denise) Leuzinger and Ron (Kelly) Leuzinger; three sisters, Janice (Del) Warner, Sally (Tony) Hyatt and Bonnie (Eric) Heitner; and many nieces, nephews family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Leuzinger; mother, Hilda Leuzinger; brother, Eugene Leuzinger; and his nephew, Jerry Leuzinger.
A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Mount Horeb, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, with the Rev. Jared Parmley presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gunderson Camacho Mount Horeb Funeral and Cremation Care, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Gary’s Memory.
