Sharon Louise Heiniger

DEFOREST - Sharon Heiniger, age 79, of DeForest, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at SSM Health-St. Mary's Hosptial. She was born on Jan. 9, 1942, in Madison, the daughter of Arthur and Myrtle (Nordness) Strander. Sharon graduation from DeForest High School. She married Phillip Heiniger on June 24, 1961. Sharon was a member of Norway Grove Memorial Lutheran Church in DeForest. She enjoyed working as a teacher’s aid with special needs children. Sharon enjoyed crafting, especially jewelry, had a big heart for animals and enjoyed traveling all over the US and going camping. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sharon is survived by her husband of 60 years, Phillip Heiniger: son, Daniel (Beth) Heiniger; daughter, Bonnie (Paul) Radley; four grandchildren, Phillip Wayne (Dani Hoffman) Heiniger, Cheyanne (Ty Rehberg) Hale, Sarah (Mike) Sanderson and John (Emma Ingles) Hermanson; four great-grandchildren, Michael Sanderson, Elizabeth Sanderson, Lucille Sanderson and Damien Loya; brother, Dean (Susan Bowen) Strander; grandpuppy, Sable; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, James Heiniger. A funeral service will be held at Norway Grove Memorial Lutheran Church, 820 River Road, DeForest, at 12 noon, on Saturday Nov. 13, 2021.
