My deepest condolences to Helen's family. I worked with Helen at WISC from 2000 until her retirement. Old movies is a passion of mine as well, and Helen was quite literally the only person there who knew anything about that subject! We had a great time talking about our favorite movies! Rest in peace, Helen. I hope you're having martinis with Judy, Bogie and Cary!

Magda and dear family members of Helen: I was saddened to hear of the passing of dear Helen! I was my personal pleasure to know Helen, along with Monsignor Thomas F. Campion and now Monsignor Larry Bakke, as she provided her professional technical assistance to the weekly production Apostolate to the Handicapped TV Mass. Helen in deed was Helen and knowing her for these years was a pleasure and honor! She always kept us up on her pets and her family members. I am sure she and Monsignor Campion are sharing many stories together as she always called him her friend and Priest - while still letting him know she didn't consider herself super religious. Her memory still exists with many of the IWSC-TV staff members and with the Apostolate! May she Rest in Peace and your memories of her be long-lasting. A memorial for her will be made by me to the Wisconsin Humane Society. Bill R. Cross Madison, WI

I was a director at WISC. Helen would always (politely) point out an error I had made in the instructions for the crew. I would hear "Sir?" on my headsets and realize I had made a mistake-Helen was an inspiration I NEVER wanted to disappoint, she made me better, and I suspect, a lot of other people. May the longtime sunshine on you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you guide your way on!

I am so sorry to hear of Helen's passing. I was a production intern at WISC way back in 1982, and Helen was one of the first persons to teach me the proper way to operate a camera, set up a light, and cut a film. We shared a love for movies and Tom Selleck. We used to take our lunch break at 7pm every Thursday night and watch the original Magnum P.I. together at the station. We lost touch when I moved on to another station, but I always remember the things she taught me...and I think of her often when I make my annual Oscar predictions. She was one of a kind. Rest in peace Helen!
