Michael "Mike" Robert Rucks

MADISON- Michael Robert Rucks, age 63, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at Sylvan Crossing in Fitchburg. He was born on Oct. 8, 1958, in Madison, the son of Robert and Sharon (Malloy) Rucks. Mike graduated from La Follette High School and was very proud to be a lower east sider. Mike worked for Farrel Amusement. He was an operator of many rides, but the zipper was his favorite by far. He always made sure everyone got their money’s worth and always bragged about his talent of putting up and taking down that ride. He also worked for Oscar Mayer and Swiss Colony. Mike was a huge jokester and had a great sense of humor. He was a big Star Trek fan. Mike adored his family and loved spending time with them. He loved learning about space, history, trains and science. If anything was broken, Mike would find a way to fix it. If you needed something built, he would build it. Mike loved working with his hands. He was also a diehard Packers fan till the end. Michael is survived by his Son, Christopher "Chris" (Jessica Eagen) Rucks; daughter, Cassandra “Cassie” (David Snyder) Rucks; grandchildren, Caleb Snyder and Aiden Snyder; sister, Michelle (Mike “Pudd” Puddester) Rucks; niece, Kaitlyn Jacobsen; sister, Kelly Rucks; nephews, Derek Horne and Kyle Warasse; brother, Kevin R. Rucks; and his partner in crime, Bruce Stoflet. He is reunited with his family that has passed before him, his parents, Robert and Sharon; and his granddaughter, Mackenzie Rae Snyder GO PACK GO- Mike A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 5201 Brookside Drive, Madison, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021.
