Gerald Robert Miller

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. / MADISON, Wis. - Gerald Robert "Jerry" Miller passed away on July 31, 2021, in Brooksville, Fla., of natural causes at the age of 61. Jerry was born in Madison on Sept. 23, 1959, the second of five children to Robert and Audrey (Mueller) Miller. Jerry attended Madison schools and graduated from LaFollette High School in 1977. He then attended MATC and continued his education at UW-Stout in Menominee earning a marketing degree in 1982. He spent his career in the Minneapolis area in various retail management positions. Jerry was an avid Green Bay Packers and Badgers fan. He enjoyed boating with his family, waterskiing and fishing for many years. Jerry was known for his athletic abilities which included football, diving, and his barefoot waterskiing skills. He was easygoing and always up for a challenge including bungee-jumping. Jerry also enjoyed biking and camping. He was a kind and caring brother and son to his family. We will miss his warm smile and his clever sense of humor. Jerry is survived by his parents, Robert and Audrey; three sisters, Melinda Rau, Becky (Scott) Lehman and Debra (Dave) Perkl; brother, Brad (Julie) Miller; eight nephews, Justin (Kristin) Rau, Joshua (Laura) Rau, Benjamin (Lisa) Lehman, Nicholas (Elizabeth Ehrendreich) Perkl, Lucas (Colleen Casey) Perkl, Jack Perkl, Zachary (Nikki) Miller and Ian Miller; great-nephews, Benjamin and Jonathan Rau; great-nieces, Brida Lehman and Tatum Miller; aunts, Mary Bollig, Katherine Fandrey and Marian McChesney; uncle, Curtis (Marge) Mueller; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Mabel Mueller, and Paul and Frances Miller; as well as many special aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, presided by Fr. Randy Timmerman. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
