Susan Ann Stiegman

BLACK EARTH - Susan A. “Sue” Stiegman, age 72 of Black Earth, Wis., passed away from COVID at UW Hospital surrounded by her three children on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021. She was born in Madison, Wis., on Aug. 1, 1949, the daughter of George and Marie Di Modica. Sue was a graduate of Madison West High School. She married Dahal Stiegman Sr. on May, 31, 1986, in Monroe, Wis. Over the years, Sue held many positions in customer service. She enjoyed working at her last position with PPI. She always referred to her coworkers as family. Sue loved weekend trips, lunches and drinks with her friends. Her passion was always her family. She loved hosting holiday dinners and cooking and baking. Sue will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Sue is survived by her sister, Cheryl Brassington; brothers, Mike (Kathy) Di Modica and Nick (Anita) Di Modica; and brother-in-law, Allen (Chris) Stiegman; her children, Richard (Amy) Statz , Shawn (Deb Barsness) Statz and Traci ( Todd ) Daane; step children, Dahal Jr (Al) Stiegman, Lisa (Kevin) Welch and RJ (Josette) Stiegman; grandchildren, Taylor Statz, Dylan Daane, Brooke Statz , Zachary (Andrew) Welch, Tyler (Kimberlee) Welch, Logan Stiegman, Lydia Stiegman and Alec Rodarte; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Madelynn Stiegman; niece, Debbie (Tom) Brondum; and nephews, Michael (Jen) Stiegman and Ryan (Emily) Stiegman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dahal Stiegman Sr.; parents, George and Marie Di Modica; and step daughter, Darcy (Paul) Rodarte. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021.
