Sonja, Jeff and Alexandra, My deepest condolences to you, your family and all of Arlie's friends. I remember Sonja's joy when Arlie was born, and she shared stories of his childhood years to friends at the Wisconsin Union. May the coming days of stories, memories, tears and laughter bring you peace and comfort as you travel through your grief. (Hugs to you, dear Sonja) Always, Georgia Pollard.

To the Muck’s family: I send love to your family during this time and beyond. Max and I went to middle school, high school and UWM together. Although we were not “friends” by any means, we did share classes and greet each other by name throughout those years. I have vivid memories of Max in class being cheerful and yet focused at the same time. My memories of him include being kind to others, resourceful and overall joyful. I hope mine and other memories of him being your family comfort.

Dear Mucks Family - My name is Dhivya, and I was Arlie’s Physics lab partner at UWM. I just found out about his passing today and am writing with a heavy heart — although I only met him at the start of this school year, I could already tell how kind-hearted and gentle he was. He always made sure to work together on each lab and greeted me “hello” and “goodbye” each lab period. This memory will live on in me as he was generous enough to greet me while my previous lab partners never bothered learning my name. I could always count on him for any academic help. He was a sincere and hard worker. He was a sweet friend that made sure to never let anyone feel left out. He had a lovely smile, although I could not see it through the mask - I could tell. I did not believe the news when I first heard it...I had only talked to him a few weeks ago. I was sent an email personally because he was my lab partner. I, mere stranger, can only imagine the grief of his close friends and family. He was a precious man, who was taken too soon. My heart goes out to Arlie’s dear family and friends. I hope these memories brings comfort to his loved ones. May he rest in peace...
