Click on tribute wall (above) and click on "Live Webcast" MADISON - Rosalinda "Rosa" Gatica, age 75, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 13, 1945, in Crystal City, Texas, the daughter of Antonio Rodriguez and Eulalia Reyes. Born and raised in Texas, Rosa was united in marriage to Apolinar Gatica on Nov. 17, 1966. Rosa enjoyed conversation and loved to talk, just about anything, but mostly laugh and reminisce about old times. She enjoyed singing, flowers, and listening to music. She loved to go shopping and had her very own sense of style. Rosa loved clothes and makeup and had an avid nail polish collection. She had the most beautiful nails around and loved all the sweets! Most of all, Rosa cherished her family, and taking road trips and visits with her favorite brother, Cruz. She was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church. Rosalinda is survived by her eight children, Juan Gatica, Diana Gatica (Omar Cortez) Luis Gatica, Irene (Juan) Barajas, Sonia Gatica (Chay Dominguez), Veronica Gatica (Jose Hernandez), Antonio Gatica (Christina Lopez) and Apolinar (Chelsea) Gatica II; grandchildren, Angelica, Andres, Gavino, Poly, Jose, Ricko, Evonne, Dakota, Maximos, Valentino, Yesenia, Elizar, Camelia, Ismael, Vicente, Jimena Marissa, Emilio and Santana; great-grandchildren, Alicia, Roman, Apollo, Troy, Araceli, Ricky, Rosalinda, Leo, Luca and Selena; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Apolinar; grandsons, Anthony Valenza and Antonio Gatica, Jr.; and brother and sister-in-law, Cruz (Inez) Garcia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with Mass beginning at 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding.
