James "Blue" Billmeyer

So sorry to hear of Blue 's passing. Condolences and hugs.

It has been quite a while since I had seen or talked with Blue. When I started with the DOT back in 1990, I was assigned to work on his survey crew. He taught me quite a bit about survey back then and even let me hold the dumb end of the tape. He was always a hard worker but never seemed to get to upset when we screwed things up. We just had to buy the first beer if we were staying out overnight for the job. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him, brings back some good memories with my first years working.

We knew Blue through his mail deliveries to us. Whenever we saw him in the Village he was always busy doing something for others. We are thinking of all the family at this time. Paul & Marcia Yochum
