Obituary
MOUNT HOREB - Eleanore Mae (Freymiller) Frame went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 8, 2023. Eleanore Mae’s motto was: “Jesus first. Others second. Yourself last.” That is the way she lived her life, selflessly serving others.
From early childhood, Eleanore Mae wanted to be a teacher, and she invested in continually improving her craft, passing along her passion for math to students at Platteville, then Ridgeway and finally Mount Horeb, and winning “teacher of the year” awards along the way. When she was not in the classroom, she spent as many days as possible digging, planting and harvesting in her enormous garden, and took great joy in sharing the resulting bounty with family, friends and neighbors.
Eleanore Mae met the love of her life, John “Jack” Frame while at college in Platteville. What started out as a Junior Prom date--Jack the prom king and Eleanore his queen--turned into 70 joyous years of marriage. Their example of enduring love and steadfast commitment to each other was an inspiration to everyone around them.
Eleanore Mae’s sacrificial devotion to her family was evident to all. She is survived by her husband, Jack; and her three boys, Kevin (Lynn) Frame of Mukwonago, Kelly Frame of Blue Mounds and Kooper (Lynn) Frame of Sunnyvale, Calif. Grandma will also be missed by Jason (Sara) Frame, Adam Frame, Danielle (Chad) Nimke, Madison (Dustin) Pletan, Kolson (Ana) Frame and Reagan Frame; as well as by her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Anthony, Keegan, Hope and Nate.
Eleanore Mae is also survived by her brother, Merle (Doris) Freymiller; and sister, Karen (Preston) Baker; and by many nieces and nephews. She is now gloriously reunited with her parents, George and Helen Freymiller; her brother, Virgil (Audrey) Freymiller; and her sister, Iris (Oscar) Wagner.
A funeral service will be held at NEW HOPE EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 639 S. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, with a luncheon to follow. A visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. A graveside service will take place at WEST BLUE MOUNDS CEMETERY, Highway F and Highway ID, Blue Mounds, at 2 p.m. on Monday.
