MADISON - Maria “Mary” Treviño Pedergnana, age 79, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, in Madison. She was born on April 18, 1942, in Chicago, the daughter of Francisco and Delfina Treviño. She married Stephen J. Pedergnana in Chicago.
Mary was a graduate of Lucy Flower Vocational High School. She worked as a quality assurance manager. Mary loved reading, word searches and needlepoint. She was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed taking in a ball game at Miller Park.
Mary is survived by her children, Debra (Ronald) Camp, Steven (Nadine) Pedergnana and Nikki (John) Gonwa; grandchildren, Ronald Camp, Rebekkah Camp, Angelique Camp and Sidney Pedergnana; great-grandchildren, Dionte Camp, Mianna Camp and Jackson Martin; and siblings, Armanda, Delphina, Joey, Rebecca, Lupe and Edward.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen; brothers, Francisco, Hank and Michael; and sisters, Connie, Antonia, Anita, Esperanza and Ernestina.

I have several fond memories of Mary. The first time we met was when my son married her daughter, Nikki. She was so warm and inviting to talk with. Always a smile. We shared a some laughs throughout the day and evening. Then other times she liked to share some memories of her and Nikki growing up, Nikki as a little girl, etc. I always loved hanging around Mary and just shooting the breeze. I will miss her greatly. In honor of Mary I am wearing dark blue like in the Cubs attire. See you in heaven someday my friend. And thank you, again, for giving us a profoundly wonderful “bonus” daughter who my son is crazy about. I can see some of your mannerisms in her sometimes. Rest well so we can party hearty when I get there. I love you Mary.
