Mariann C Miller

MIDDLETON - Mariann C. Miller, age 80, of Middleton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, with her husband by her side after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on Jan. 3, 1941, in Stoughton, the eldest daughter of Gerald and Mary Osborn. Mariann graduated from East High School. She married John Miller on May 11, 1963, in Middleton. Mariann’s life was centered around being a wife and mother. She had a love for crocheting, making many blankets for her children and grandchildren. She also loved sewing, ceramics, and needle point. Additionally, Mariann enjoyed collecting bells and angel figurines. Her favorite activity was going camping with her family and continuing that on with her husband to many destinations around the United States. Mariann is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; five children, Sherry Kanetzke, Teresa Stormer, John (Christie) Miller, Tammy (Ron) Dresen-Frisch, and Patricia (Dion) Melvin; her 13 grandchildren, Katrina Bennett, Adam Kanetzke, Katie Stormer, Jack Stormer, Emily Stormer, Josh Stormer, Heidi Miller, Tatum Miller, Diana Dresen, Daisy Palchik, Colten Dresen, Mariah Travis, and Jacob Melvin; and seven great-grandchildren, Dalton, Deacon, Carson, Killian, Ellie-Mae, Raelynn, Coleen, and another great-grandchild on the way. Mariann is also survived by three sisters and one brother, along with two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Mary Osborn; sons-in-law, Neil Kanetzke, John Stormer, and Darrell Dresen; and parents-in-law, Herman and Phyillis Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be gifted in Mariann’s name to Agrace HospiceCare or to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
