Lori E. Wardell

MOUNT HOREB - Lori E. Wardell, age 62, of Mount Horeb, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at home. She was born on Sept. 26, 1958, in Dodgeville, the daughter of Kenneth and Delores (Anderson) Zurbuchen. Lori graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1977. She worked many years in customer service with a smile on her face. Lori enjoyed helping others. Lori loved her family and animals, especially Ace and Scooter. She cherished her time camping with family and friends at Double KD Campground. Lori was also a fan of sports, cheering on the Packers (Chris Jacke), Badgers football/basketball and occasionally the Brewers (when her sons were visiting). Attending family gatherings was always a favorite. She cherished time with her sisters and the trips they embarked on. Lori’s grandchildren meant the world to her, she will love them to the end of time. Lori supported her children and family through everything. She brought joy to many. Lori is survived by her two sons, John (Carrie Dahm) Jabs and Edward "Eddie" Jabs; grandchildren, Aurora Jabs and Dominic Jabs; four sisters, Kathy Zurbuchen, Barbara (Glenn) Aavang, Kay (Anthony) Truman and Jan (Lawrence) McKennie; brother, Keith Zurbuchen; former husband, Jeff Wardell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON CAMACHO MOUNT HOREB FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, with Pastor John Twiton presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
