Obituary
MADISON - Mary Skaggs, age 94, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Feb. 28, 1927, in Madison, the daughter of Peter and Madeline (Caruso) Gambino.
Mary graduated from Central High School in 1944. After high school she worked as a typist for the Department of Motor Vehicles for 40 years. Mary loved going on long walks and would walk anywhere. She enjoyed dining out and going to the casino.
Mary is survived by her sister, Ann Cardin; sisters-in-law, Barbara Adams and Betty Skaggs; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents; brothers, Steve (June) Gambino, Frank Gambino and Peter Gambino; sister, Theresa (Ralph) Pfieffer; brother-in-law, Douglas Cardin; and sister-in-law, Pauline Gambino.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.

Sept 12th: I was just told of Mary's passing. My heart is broken. I will miss our phone conversations about your parents, our Josie, Theresa & Annette. You were such a big part of my mom's life. I will miss u my dear, beautiful, sweet cousin Mary.
