Over 45 years ago I worked for the Assembly Majority Leader (A guy named Tony Earl) and Don worked for the Minority Leader (A guy named Tommy Thompson). Later in life we joked that without us neither would have ever been Governor. Don became one of my most cherished friends, and Linda & Shari best pals as well. He had a great wit, a kind attitude towards everyone, and I will always remember the dinners and drinks we shared over the years. He was a decent man and I will miss my friend.
