William A. Lange

OREGON - William A. “Bill” Lange, age 85, of Oregon, passed away on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, at Four Winds Manor. He was born on Dec. 24, 1935, in Evansville, Wis., the son of William and Helen (Spencer) Lange. Bill graduated from Belleville High School in 1953. He married the love of his life, Geraldine Druwe, on June 16, 1956, in Exeland, Wis. Bill worked as a maintenance man for Badger Prairie for 35 years. He also was a farmer for the majority of his life, until he retired in 1997. Bill was a selfless, generous and kind man. He was a former Rutland Town Chairman. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting. Bill liked to collect and restore John Deere Tractors. He also loved to travel with Geraldine. Bill treasured time spent with his family. He especially enjoyed celebrating holidays and birthdays together. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Geraldine; loving daughters, Debra Lange, Rhonda (Scott) Funke and Karen Deegan; four grandchildren, David (fiancée, Mari) Funke, Mark (Lee) Funke, Christopher (Jena) Deegan, and Jennifer Deegan; two great-grandchildren, Kenley and Declan Deegan; and sister, Jean Fleck. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ferdinand "Sport" Lange. A private funeral service will be held at Gunderson Oregon Funeral and Cremation Care, on Wednesday Aug. 11, 2021. Burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison, Wis. A special thank you to the staff at Four Winds Manor and Lodge and SSM Health Dean St. Mary's for their compassionate care and support.
