NEW GLARUS/MOUNT HOREB - Scott Allen Berry, age 45, of New Glarus, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at his home. He was born on Aug. 22, 1975, in Madison, Wis., the son of Francis and Mary (Venner) Berry.
Scott worked in the trades all of his adult life, most recently as a steamfitter. He developed a passion for hunting and fishing at an early age, where he spent quality time with his dad and uncles in Richland Center. Scott also enjoyed canning. He was very skilled and talented in all trades and was willing to lend his skills to any friends or family that needed them. He was a proud and loving father for his two children, Westyn and Abygayl.
Scott is survived by his son, Westyn; daughter, Abygayl; mother, Mary; father, Francis (Louaun); sisters, Heidi and Rachel; brother, Josh; nephews, Syler and McKallan; loving aunts; uncles; cousins; and many great friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Clara Berry and Gregory and Jeanette Venner.

I just talked to Scott a couple months ago about helping me hang a fan in my house. Very sweet of him to offer to help me. Super nice guy!! So sorry for your loss.

Playfully known to me as "Scotthew" the last 22 years, I'm very saddened to hear of Scott's passing. I'm so very sorry! He was a great guy!

My family has had the honor of being Scott's neighbor for a year now and what an amazing neighbor he's been; always happy, always smiling, always offering help and always making time to put a smile on our kids' faces. This was difficult news for us to process and the void in positivity next door will surely be noticed. We're going to miss you Scott. We'll be keeping your loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
