Wayne A. Kaat

OREGON- Wayne A. Kaat, son of Peter L. and Johanna (Price) Kaat, went home to Jesus on October 11, 2025, shortly after losing his loving wife, Nell.

Wayne was a devoted follower of Christ, putting faith and family first. Wayne and Nell were founding members of the church they spent most of their life attending. Wayne supported the church by serving in various roles throughout the years, including mowing the church lawn after his retirement.

Wayne was a perfectionist in everything he did. He spent his dedicated career as a computer programmer at Ohio Medical (later named Ohmeda).

Wayne enjoyed spending his free time with family. In his younger days, he liked camping vacations with his family, church outings, and bowling. He was spoiled with great home-cooked meals and enjoyed a good family cookout.

Wayne is survived by his wonderful children, Gary (Kelly), John (Peg) and Lynnell (Bill); precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He is reunited in heaven with his loving wife of 66 years, his parents, mother and father-in-law, his brother-in-law and his wife, a nephew, and beloved grandson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bristol Hospice and Sienna Meadows for their care in these final months.
