Camille J Herkert

Madison - Camille J. Herkert, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on April 19, 1936, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Francis and Gladys (Nowicki) Marzion.

Camille worked as an accountant for Sieders Manufacturing for over 15 years. She was a Den Mother, taught CCD at St. Bernard's in Middleton, enjoyed playing cards and was talented at stitchery.

Camille is survived by four sons, Jim (Andrea) Herkert, Scott (Troy) Herkert, John Herkert and David Herkert; 11 grandchildren, Marita (Eric) Herkert-Oakland, Andrew (Genevieve) Herkert, Tara (Chris) Miller, Ivy Herkert, Diego Vargas, Daniel Vargas, Haley Herkert, Leah Herkert, Max King, Christina King, and Ian King;   10 great-grandchildren Miles and Afton Oakland, Roosevelt and Jonah Herkert, McKenzie, Leo and Sage Miller, Jonathan and Henry Vargas, and Levi Miller; and three sisters, Judy McHugh, Joyce Hoffman and Cindy (Lee) Pryor. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at Gunderson West Funeral and Cremation Care, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, with Father Brian Wilk presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022, and again at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
