My sympathies to the entire Lawry family. I was very sorry to hear of Roger's passing. I bowled in the Golfers league with Roger for many years. He was just simply put, a very nice man. I can remember many conversations about playing fastpitch softball. I always enjoyed talking with him. I remember running in to him after his Honor flight. He was so happy and honored to go. While we weren't two guys that hung out a lot together I considered it a privilege to know him. He was a genuine, sincere man. I hope you all share your memories with each other and feel some comfort knowing he was liked and respected by many in his community. Sincerely, Jim Snow.

The volunteers, flight team and board of Badger Honor Flight mourn the loss of their hero, Roger Lawry. We are thankful for his military service and proud to have served him on his trip to Washington, D.C. on April 30, 2016.

Barbara Newhouse, member of St. John’s Lutheran Church writing. I writing to let you know I did a video interview of Roger. It was for our 60th Smorgasbord celebration. He was so proud to have been in the ‘turkey room’ for those many years. I haven’t looked at the video recently, but I would be happy to locate it on my laptop and share.
