Walter helped the College with a few iterations of our strategic plan. Getting to know him through the years and through that process was a wonderful experience. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed working with him. I, the College, and, the world will miss him. He made it a better place. I am grateful for getting the chance to get to know Walter. Wally was a key part of multiple projects we worked on here at CUNA Mutual Group. His smile, his laugh, his creativity and willingness to jump in and help solve problems was infectious. What a sad loss--and I feel blessed to have shared some wonderful, productive hours with such a big personality. Hugs to you all--take good care of each other.

I worked with Wally at Blackhawk Technical College for several years on quality improvement and student academic achievement for the college’s accreditation. Wally had a genuine love for people. He had an enormous personality that would immediately put people at ease. We planned several activities and learning sessions for staff and I can say his sense of humor was infectious . Much love and strength to your family during this difficult time. Please take comfort knowing he helped people and organizations to be their absolute best and loved his family with all of his heart.
