Robert Hiltbrand

MOUNT HOREB - Robert W. "Bob" Hiltbrand, age 80, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Beehive. He was born on Feb. 18, 1941, the son of Walter and Eleanor Hiltbrand. Bob married Joanne Sherven on June 24, 1961, at York Memorial Church. Bob graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1959. He was very active in sports in high school and continued to enjoy them throughout his life. Bob worked for UPS and Coyle’s Floor Covering. He then started his own floor covering business in Richland Center, Hiltbrand Floor Covering. Bob enjoyed traveling to many countries throughout the world with his wife, Joanne. He enjoyed golfing, playing tennis, basketball, softball and football and was an avid Badgers and Packers football fan. Bob was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jay Cee's, Richland Center Rotary Club and was a member at St. John's Lutheran Church when he lived in Richland Center. Robert is survived by his wife, Joanne; children, Todd (Jenny) Hiltbrand and Lisa (Peter) Read; grandchildren, Gabrielle Read, Sophia Read and Cooper Hiltbrand; brother, Jim (Janis) Hiltbrand; sisters, Karen (Ed) Landerud and Anita (Mark) Opsal; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Janel Hynek; and many aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 310 W. Main St. Mount Horeb, at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021, with the Rev. Jared Parmley presiding. Burial will be held at German Valley Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Memorials may be gifted in Robert’s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mount Horeb Senior Center and Beehive Memory Care. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
