Richard J. Remsik

FITCHBURG - Richard John Remsik, age 48, of Fitchburg, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at University Hospital. He was born on July 25, 1972, in Madison, the son of James and Christi (Conway) Remsik. Richard graduated from Madison LaFollette High School in 1991. He married Gaelle Remsik on Jan. 20, 2020, in DeForest. Richard worked as a mechanic for Oscar Mayer for many years. He was also a mechanic for his father's stock car and later raced stock cars himself. Richard enjoyed cooking, grilling, bowling and was an avid movie watcher. He will be remembered as a jack of all trades and shared his talents in helping other people. Most importantly, he loved his two sons beyond measure. Richard is survived by his wife, Gaelle; sons, Nicholas and Riley Remsik; their mother, Nicole Remsik; his mother, Christi Remsik; brothers and sisters, Cathi (Scott) Hart, John (Tina) Remsik, James (Jenifer) Remsik Jr., Matthew Remsik and Samantha (Michael Dong) Remsik; and sister-in-law, Tiffany Remsik. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Remsik Sr.; and brother, Mark Remsik. Private services will be held with a Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later date.
