Kathy Hoesly

BROOKLYN - Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Hoesly beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, age 69, of Brooklyn, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was born on Aug. 25, 1951, in Madison, the daughter of Clarence and Katherine (Nevel) Bryne. Kathy attended Oregon Schools. She met the love of her life, Donald Hoesly and married on April 18, 1970. Kathy worked on the family dairy farm, Speedway Restaurant and Bar, Kamm Amm Bowling Alley, Nicolet Industries, and finally Oregon Manor until her retirement. Kathy loved gardening, including planting and watching her lovely plants grow and bloom in her gardens. She also was her son's biggest fan at the local truck pulls, and could be heard cheering him on. Kathy also loved watching NASCAR, her favorite driver being Jimmy Johnson. All her life she loved dogs and had a special place in her heart for her current yellow lab, Bear. Kathy is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Tammy Brewer; son, Darrick Hoesly (fiancé Aimee Cupp, and her son, Hunter); granddaughters, Nicole Hoesly (fiancé, Troy Barlow) and Autumn (Jorge Cuatepotzo-Valencia) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Javier, Esmeralda, Maricella and Eva Cuatepotzo-Valencia; brothers, James (Pat) Byrne and Bob Byrne; brother-in-law, Norman (Nancy) Hoesly; and nephews, James and Duane (Chris) Byrne; nieces, Paula (Chuck) Severson and Tracy (Brian) Meyer; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Paul Brewer; and niece, Patti Byrne. A private family visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Family and friends are invited to come and share your memories at a celebration of life to be held at PHEASANT VALLEY BARN, W1401 King Rd., Brooklyn, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021.
