Obituary
MONONA - Norah M. Elsmo, age 18 months, of Monona, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, after a short battle with leukemia. Norah was the first 2020 St. Mary’s Hospital baby, born on Jan. 1, 2020, the daughter of David and Andrea (Strub) Elsmo.
Norah had an incredible disposition and was always excited to go on any family adventure, with her beloved blanket in tow. Norah loved being around people, giving hugs and blowing kisses. She loved and absolutely adored her grandparents and the times she spent with them. Norah loved being outdoors, taking wagon rides or being out on the water in the boat. She loved reading books and playing with her loyal furry canine. Norah was mom’s girl and had dad wrapped around her little finger.
Norah is survived by her loving parents, David and Andrea; grandparents, Joanne and Marc Elsmo, and Beckie and Doug Strub; great-grandmother, Judy Strub; two uncles, Ryan (Emily Wolff) Strub and Derrick (Erica) Strub; aunt, Betsy (Ben Thomas) Elsmo-Thomas; and her beloved dog, Charly Marie Elsmo.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Dale Strub, Dick and Patricia Hanson, Janice (Gordon “Corkey”) Christensen and Roy (Jane) Elsmo.
A celebration of Norah’s life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
