Obituary
MIDDLETON - Jane Margery Shaub, age 71, of Middleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at home, surrounded by family. She was born on March 25, 1950, in Madison, the daughter of Stanley K. and Margery V. (Oleston) Jacobson. Jane graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1968. She married Russell W. Shaub on June 25, 1977, at Hope Lutheran Church.
Jane was an in-home childcare provider for over 30 years. She was a second mother to so many. Jane cared about people, and it wasn't just family, but everybody. She knew if you needed a hug. She just knew. She loved live music, dancing, and going for "rides" anywhere, as long as she ended up at the casino. She loved flowers and nature. Jane lived each day to its fullest and encouraged others to do the same. Her attitude was "life is good." She had a wonderful sense of humor and outlook on life. With Jane, it was never about her but always about others. Above all, Jane cherished her time with family.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jay) Currie; sons, John (Jennifer) Shaub and David (Virginia) Shaub; grandchildren, Allison, Brady, Jackson, Jordan, Julia, Anna, Peyton and Brett; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; her parents; three sisters; a brother; and her son-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, with the Rev. Tim Maybee presiding. Burial will be at Hope Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the start of the service on Tuesday.
Memorials in Jane’s name may be made to UW Carbone Cancer Center. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
