Obituary
FITCHBURG - Peter C. Lahm, age 81, passed away suddenly, during the night, on his birthday, Monday, July 5, 2021, at BeeHive Home. He was born on July 5, 1940, at Madison General Hospital in Madison, the only son of Clarence and Mary (Marx) Lahm.
Peter grew up on the near east side of Madison. He married Susan Dobson on Oct. 28, 1972, and adopted her son, Matthew. They built a home in Fitchburg.
After retirement from the UW Physical Plant as a maintenance mechanic supervisor, he began his passion of restoring classic cars. All were frame-off restorations and his favorite year was 1956 Chevys. Sue and Pete traveled across the U.S. having the cars shown and judged, always receiving platinum scores.
Peter is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Matthew (Brenda), and their son, Mason; his daughter from his previous marriage, Patti (Alan) Vejvoda; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and mother and father-in-law, Red and Ruby Zweifel.
A private family graveside service will be held. Memorials may be gifted in Peter’s name to Agrace HospiceCare. Thank you to Beehive and Agrace HospiceCare for your care of Pete. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Sorry for Your lost! Remember a time when a couple of Kids racing up and down Tower Hill Dr! Pete stopped them while washing a car in the driveway! Pete took the hose and shot it in the car, saying The races just got rained Out!👍
