Glenwood D. Larson

CONOVER - Glenn Larson, age 76, of Conover, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021, peacefully with his daughters by his side at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital. He was born on Dec. 6, 1944, in Dodgeville, Wis., the son of Lloyd and Bernadine (Grenfell) Larson. Glenn grew up in Dodgeville, attended college at UW-Platteville, and then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from Aug. 9, 1965, until his honorable discharge on June 28, 1967. Glenn worked as a Mechanical Engineer and was well respected in the industry. Upon retirement he rebuilt his cabin in Conover living out his lifelong dream in the north woods where he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting, golfing, and riding his Harley. Glenn formerly served as commander of the VFW Post 8637. Glenn is survived by his daughters, Ginger Larson and Heather (Brad) Schroeder; and three granddaughters, Olivia, Chloe and Ella Schroeder.
