MILLSTADT, Ill. - Constance Jean “Connie” Knapp, age 72, of Millstadt passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024. She was born on May 28, 1951, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of LeRoy and Marilyn (Kroll) Neuman.
Constance graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1969. She married Gregory Carl Knapp on Aug. 25, 1990. She worked as a beautician for most of her working career. She was active in the church. She Loved bird watching and planting, gardening and crafting.
Constance is survived by her sons, Curt (Kim) Ziegel and Craig (Yvonne) Ziegel; 10 grandchildren, Devan Ziegel, Brycen Ziegel, Aidan Ziegel, Angelica Ziegel, Jennifer Walkey, Kyle Ziegel, Shyanne Gunter, Soloman Crowe, Rachel Phelps, Kristine Larkin; and 13 great-grandchildren, Arlo Levey, Matilda Levey, Kayden Harvey, Aspen Harvey, Adalynn Crockett, Ronald Crockett Jr., Isla Gunter, Skye Crowe, Parker Larkin, Aurora Maldonado, Lincoln Phelps, Zelda Phelps and August Phelps; and her sister, Pat (John) Kluz; brother, Jim (Deb) Neuman; and sister, Lori (Jim) Coughlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn and LeRoy; husband, Gregory; and brother, Terry.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
