Helen N. Weger

BROOKLYN - Helen Naomi Weger, age 60, of Brooklyn, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Oct. 5, 1960, in Madison, the daughter of Wilfred and Jane (Shakstad) Millette. Helen graduated from Madison East High School. She worked as a unit secretary for SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital for 25 years. Helen enjoyed bowling, and sitting on the beach sipping her pina coladas and Coronas. She loved spending time with her family and celebrating Christmas with family and friends. Helen was a wonderful cook and baker and was known for her frosted sugar cookies and Christmas treats. Helen is survived by daughter, Jessica Weger; two sons, Jake (Kristin) Weger, Joe Weger; their father Daryl Weger; granddaughter, Kaylie Perez; grandson, Matthew Weger; two sisters, Michelle Millette and Jeana (John) Morehouse; and two brothers, James Millette and Steven Millette. She was preceded in death by her sister, Melody Joe; and parents, Wilfred and Jane. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, with Chaplain John Berg officiating. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, and also from 12 noon until the time of the service on Thursday.
