David Robuck

MOUNT HOREB - David Lee Robuck, age 84, of Mount Horeb, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Upland Hills Health Hospital in Dodgeville. He was born on Dec. 20, 1936, in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Forrest Irvin Robuck and Susan Florence Jarrell. He had recently moved to Mount Horeb from Hattiesburg, Mississippi to be closer to family. David lived and worked in Hattiesburg and New Orleans area for many years. Prior to retirement, David enjoyed a career in technical sales. David also enjoyed pursuing entrepreneurial and philanthropic endeavors, including running a Scandinavian Import and Gift shop with business partner, Travis Boykin, investing in startup restaurants, and donating to spay and neuter clinic in Hattiesburg. When not working, David enjoyed expressing his zest for life through traveling, entertaining, card games, beach time, and spending time with his family and friendships. In the final years of his life, David endeared himself to the staff at the various assisted living and hospital facilities that cared for him. David was a joy to be around and always brought an optimism for life and laughter with him. He will be greatly missed. David is survived by his sister, Carol (Kent) McDonald; nieces, Michele (Gregg) Amick and Theresa (Dan) Bohn; nephews, Steve (Travis Wilson) McDonald and Mike (Tami) McDonald; and many great nieces and nephews who all loved him tremendously.
