Obituary
MADISON - Rodney Forest Tippery, age 22, of Madison, Wis., passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at UW Hospital and Clinics. He was born on Oct. 14, 1998, in Madison, the son of Beau Tippery and Lynne (Decorah) Decorah-Tippery.
Rodney graduated from Madison East High School in 2017. He worked as a package handler for FedEx and was a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation.
Rodney enjoyed deer hunting, gaming, playing football at Madison East High School and was a videographer for the varsity football team for two years. He was proud of his sword collection.
Rodney is survived by his parents; brother, Conrad Tippery; paternal grandmother, Cheryl Tippery; paternal grandfather, Rodney Tippery; uncle, Adam (Lindsey) Tippery; four aunts, Tara Tippery, Neile Decorah, Rhiannon (Carlos) Blackdeer de Prado, and Roxie Anderson; seven cousins, Savannah Tippery, Bjorn Tippery, Augie Tippery, Kai Tippery, Evangelina Tippery, Darwin Blackdeer de Prado and Luna Blackdeer de Prado; and special close family friend, Joanne Frick. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Eileen Decorah; maternal grandfather, Forest Blackdeer; great grandmother, Irene Henkes; and gaga great, Frieda Decorah.
A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 noon on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Words are insufficient in a time of sorrow such as this to share with family members. I am praying for all of Rodney’s family and asking God’s comfort and blessing to each of you. I remember Rodney as a very small boy at children’s Awana at church. I can still picture him in my mind sitting down and talking with his uncle Adam.
