Paul John du Vair

I had the privilege of having Mr. du Vair for my freshman Biology in 72-73. He was an amazing educator with interesting stories. He inspired all of his students to learn. He was one of the best teachers I had in high school.

So very sorry to hear of Mr. du Vair's passing. He was an amazing and inspiring educator. Our children were lucky to have had the opportunity to experience his scholarship and enthusiasm for teaching.

Mr. du Vair was my favorite teacher ever & I'm so sorry to hear this news! He was just incredible, so encouraging & fun! My thoughts are with his family.

My deepest sympathies to the du Vair family. Mr du Vair was my favorite teacher of all time, the first to make science fun. I cannot tell you how much I learned from him. I loved the way he made coffee in a beaker on a Bunsen burner every morning. I have thought of him often over the years (La Follette class of '77). He will be missed.

Mr. du Vair had such a profound influence on my life - an amazing teacher who expected his students to reflect all the potential he saw in them. What a gift to have him as a teacher 32 years ago. My deepest sympathy to his family. Please know his memory lives on in all the students he inspired.
