MADISON - Christy J. (Schoepp) Miller passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, in the comfort of her home in Madison, surrounded by family. Last month, Christy's glittering 60th birthday card read, "Sassy, classy and a little bad-assy." She loved it, because that is truly the way she lived her life. Her vibrant personality, sense of humor, and her "tell it like it is" honesty was genuine and loved by all who knew her. Christy was born in Madison on April 28, 1961, to David and Shirley Schoepp. As a child, Christy loved boating on Lake Wisconsin, snow-mobiling, and skiing with her family. She graduated with many lifelong friends from Madison Memorial High School in 1979. After high school, she attended the University of Arizona, where she studied early childhood education. While working as a Montessori teacher in Tempe, she met her husband, Chris Miller. Together, they were blessed with two children, Jenna and Ryan. Christy also enjoyed a successful real estate career in both Arizona and Florida. However, her true honors in life were that of daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Later in her life, her grandson. Kade, was the light of her life. She shared her love of "God, family, and the Green Bay Packers" with him. Christy was passionate about animal rescue. 13 furry friends over her lifetime could not have found a more loving human. Her 10-year-old Mastiff named "Maddy" was by her side to the end. Christy is survived by her parents, David and Shirley Schoepp; her children, Jenna (Chris) Warner and Ryan Miller; her grandsons, Kade and Elijah Warner; ex-husband, Chris Miller; her brother, Doug (Michelle) Schoepp; her niece and nephews, Shayle, Michael and Alex Schoepp; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Leo and Martha Schoepp and Josephine Walker and Marvin Allely. Christy adored her family and: friends and was grateful for their love and support. A celebration of Christy's life will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME in Middleton on Wednesday, May 26 from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Christy wanted to "go down swinging" in her courageous three-year battle with cancer.
