Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with all of you. It was so nice to be his neighbor a few years after Bonna passed.

This obit generously captured the character and life of Warren. Thank you. It left images that make me want to celebrate him, to wish Warren on a jolly bon voyage for his next journey or cause or bit of whimsy. To you, his sisters, brother-in-law, and nephew, Ruth and I share our condolences for your personal sorrow and joy for the priceless experiences that came with having him in your lives and now forever in your hearts. I golfed with “all day”as warren was called by the older members of the staff at Yahara at least 3 times a week for the last 10 or 15 years. I returned to Madison from Scttsdale Az on the 12 of May, my wife’s birthday. I just found out about Warrens passing today.l will miss him more than I can say. My heartfelt sympathy go out to all his family and everyone who knew him. We all will miss him Ranger Mike

Warren was a golfing buddy over 20 years. We talked a lot about golf and some about politics but very little personal although he told me once that Julia Roberts was his ideal woman and he frequently talked about how proud he was of his family. We played as many as 100 rounds a year together for all those years at Yahara Hills. I confess to being an occasional accessory in fireworks attacks. Yahara will never be the same for me. I think about and miss Warren every time I enter the parking lot. Rest in peace and may you have so many birdies you can't keep track. Jan Shade

I knew Warren in only one context - Yahara Hills Golf Course. I played hundreds of rounds with him over the last 20+ years. In recent years, when I would see him, the first thing he would tell me about was some great trove of golf balls he had lately found. The second thing was always which of our mutual friends he had recently seen. In addition to fireworks and seashells, he would also plant mower-damaged balls for his compatriot treasure hunters to "find." How disappointing it was to find one of those, and know you'd been "punked" by Warren! Things will be much less interesting out there now. My condolences to Warren's family. He had another family at Yahara Hills, but we all were well aware of his love for all of you.
