Obituary
FITCHBURG - Amy Lynn (Lizotte) Strobeck, age 46, of Fitchburg, Wis., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, after a 7-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born to Kenneth Alfred Lizotte Sr. and Patricia Bertucci on March 4, 1975, in Hales Corner, Wis. A graduate of Eisenhower High School in New Berlin, Amy was a fixture on the varsity soccer team. Later, she studied fashion, and art history at Mount Mary college and the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
In 2003, while visiting her father for Christmas, Amy met the love of her life, Kenyon Vernon Strobeck. They married on October 15, 2005, at her father’s home in Senoia, Ga. They went on to have two children together, Madeleine Rose Strobeck and Owen August Strobeck. She became a proud stepmother to Carter Strobeck. Kenyon became the proud stepfather to a yellow lab named Nikki.
Amy was extremely family-oriented. She focused her life on acts of love for her family, both great and small. Birthday celebrations ranged from grand (Hello Kitty Tea Parties) to intimate homemade dinners with family. Amy made each occasion memorable.
Each spring, Amy cherished going to the beach to dig her toes into the sand. When she wasn’t seeking warm weather, Amy spent many happy days at her Mother’s farm in Mayville, Wis. There, she expressed her artistic abilities through photography, crafts, and developing a deeper understanding of God’s love. Amy became a spirit-filled Christian. She wore the armor of God with hope and faith through all of life’s challenges.
Amy is survived by her husband, Kenyon and their children; her mother, Patty and stepfather, Gregg Bertucci; her father, Ken and stepmother Elaine Lizotte; and her brother, Major Kenneth Alfred Lizotte Jr. of the U. S. Army and his wife, Laura. Amy had many stepsisters, nieces, nephews and friends.
In accordance with Amy’s wishes, the family will host a celebration of life with friends and family in the coming months. In lieu of flowers memorials in Amy’s name may be made to Agrace Foundation, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.

Amy and I did not know each other personally. I am High School friends with her husband Kenyon but I felt like I knew her. Last year when tragedy hit my life she friended me on FB and I looked forward to her words of encouragement on my posts. In the midst of her pain and struggle she took the time to lift up a stranger. If that’s not God’s love I don’t know what is. Amy you are an angel and now you have your wings. Rest In Peace in your Heavenly Father’s arms as he whispers in your ear “Well done, good and faithful servant”

Sending hugs and thoughts to Amy’s entire family. We met Amy when we moved back to the neighborhood when my daughter Emma and her daughter, Madeleine, started to play together since they met in kindergarten. I had to have surgery to remove my tubes and one ovary, and she helped me through the situation by talking with me and sharing her life experiences. She offered to take Emma to school for me and was also kind enough to have Emma over after school to play on many occasions. She was so thoughtful and so genuine. Emma said she had the best birthday parties, and I could see why when picking her up and seeing/hearing about the ideas Amy had. I always wanted to be able to do what she was able to think of.

Dear Family--I think I was Amy's first friend in the Wildwood South Neighborhood. Maddy and my granddaughter Julianna played together. Our family loved Amy. She was so kind and gentle. Truly words cannot express the sadness we feel for your family. Patty, we met at the park a few times and had lengthy conversations. My heart is breaking for you. I can't find the words to say so I will just tell you that I feel blessed to have known Amy and forever her warm and loving smile will remain in my memory. She truly touched our entire family. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Sherry Henning
