Obituary
MADISON - Michael E. Irvine, age 53, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1967, in Golden Valley, Minn., the son of Marlin and Marilyn (Stormer) Irvine.
Michael attended West High School. He worked as a crane operator for Operating Engineer's Union Local No. 139 and took pride in being a member of Local No. 139.
Michael’s first love was NASCAR. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping and fishing and was fascinated with trains and cats.
Michael is survived by his parents; sister, Susan (Jimmy) Dornik; two nephews, Cole (Leah) Spangler and Jack Spangler; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his fiancée, Lisa Braun; paternal grandparents, Milford and Eunice Irvine; maternal grandparents, Pete and Frances Stormer; and uncle, Ron Stormer.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, at 12 noon on Saturday, June 5, 2021, with Father David Carrano presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Private burial will be held at Middleton Junction Cemetery. I have many fond memories of Mike. When I look out my family room window I picture Mike running to our house in shorts, no shirt, and winter boots. I asked him why he was wearing winter boots in the summer. He said, they make me run faster and I couldn't find my shoes. I can still see Mike and Tim lining up army guys on the curtain rods and shoting them down with rubber bands. Other fond memories of Mike, Nick, and Tim skateboarding, building forts, riding big wheels up and down the road, and getting into a little bit of trouble sometimes. We are sad you are gone but now you are with Lisa. RIP

Marilyn,Marlin, Susan, I am so sorry for your loss! I just found out or my daughter Isis and I would come. Michael and I were best friends for a long time, the hundreds of memories I have with him,are the best in my life, and I still tell the stories today! Oh yea Mikes first car the Blue Chevy Malibu , omg we ran the wheels off of it . And when it was no longer street legal to the racetrack it went, One Friday night, Mikes parents went out, so we’re going to fix the car( broken transmission) his parents came home to 1000 pieces of transmission all over the floor. Thank God we had a spare there was no fixing that one. We would camp all the time, bring the motorcycles along, have big bonfire at night. I have so many stories, we had fun, he will be missed!
