Dena Mora

MADISON - Berdenia Lynn “Dena” (Mollenhauer) Mora, age 67, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital due to Covid related pneumonia. She was born on Feb. 3, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Dean Melvin Mollenhauer and Donna Mae (Nelson) Mollenhauer. Dena was a sassy red head with a smile that would light up any room. She always had to have her makeup and hair done. Her laugh was contagious and she loved all people regardless of race, religion, color or creed. She spent most of her life working in healthcare, taking care of medical and behavioral clients. She loved being outdoors, exploring and roaming the community, meeting new people. Dena had a heart of gold and was loved by so many. She was quite the jokester, who was never afraid to speak her mind. She made an impact on anyone she came in contact with. Dena will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten. Dena is survived by two daughters, Danielle Rodriguez and Heather Corkery; five grandkids, Joslyn Rodriguez, Nathaniel Corkery, Josiah Harris, Charles Harris and Skylar Greiner; one great-grandson, Abel Rodriguez; four brothers, Carey, Doug, Tom and Todd Mollenhauer; three sisters, Donna Kinney, Mary Malley and Tina Bennett; and nine nieces, 11 nephews and many extended family and friends. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021.
