MADISON - Karen Ann Culp, age 59, of Madison, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. She was born on Aug. 29, 1961, in Madison, the daughter of Dale and Mary (Buol) Culp.
Karen graduated from Oregon High School in 1979 and from MATC in 1997. She enjoyed camping and loved all kinds of animals. Karen was good hearted and was always willing to lend anyone a helping hand.
Karen is survived by her mother, Mary; brother, Steven (Cynthia) Culp; sister, Karlene (Rick) Huckstadt; aunt, Ruth (Helmut) Jeschke; cousin, Diane (Ben) England; and niece, Faith Majors-Culp. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale; cousin, Victor Jeschke; aunt, Carlene (Edward) Riley; uncle, Francis Buol; and brother-in-law, David Fix.

My condolences to the family of Karen Culp. I remember her from our high school days. We never really hung out but we sat by each other in study halls. Karen, was a very nice person. School was different back in the day. Kids respected teachers, but you could still have a little bit of fun. I remember Mr. Hanson seating me by Karen because she would be a good influence on me. She was. However, her and I were able to pull off some great shenanigans together because she was always under the radar. lol. I will remember her as as a kind, funny and honest person. I was very saddened to learn of Karen's passing. I knew Karen for several years from Bethel Lutheran Church, where she'd stop by for a meal and conversation. She had a good heart and was always thinking about others. Whatever was going on in her life at the time, Karen took the time to ask how I was doing. I am blessed to have known Karen.
