COLUMBUS - Judith Fay “Judy” Parsons, age 83, of Columbus, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Larson House in Columbus, Wis. She was born on Aug. 10, 1937, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Wesley and Beulah (Hirsch) DeMars.
Judy graduated from Central High School in Madison in 1956. She married Gayle Parsons on June 29, 1957. Judy worked as a claims adjuster for American Family Insurance, retiring in 2002. She was family orientated and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Judy was always rooting for her favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.
Judy is survived by sons, Jeffery (Linda Doucette) Parsons and James Parsons; grandchildren, Shauna (Daniel) Minick, Jenna Parsons and Mason Parsons; and great-grandchildren, Envy Curtin, Cailan Smith, Leonard DeWaide and Maisie Minick. She was preceded in death by husband, Gayle Parsons; son, Richard Parsons; parents; and brothers, Donald and Richard DeMars.
A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, only 50 people are allowed into the funeral home at one time. Social distancing and face masks are required.

I loved Judy she was a always happy walk into her room and she would go woo hoo. She could always put a smile on a person face. You will be missed. So sorry for your loss to the family. RIP Judy. Love you

Judy was a wonderful, intelligent, caring person. Her reputation at American Family was to be envied. All who knew her loved her. I worked with Judy and enjoyed her personality. I visited her in Karmenta..and realized she had kept her joy, even under trying circumstances. I was blessed by having known her. My condolences to her family.

I worked with Judy when she taught me disability claims. I got to know her great sense of humor and her positive attitude. She loved her family so much. A very knowledgeable, sweet and classy lady.
