Janice Marie Keul

Madison - Janice Keul, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021. She was born on Nov. 19, 1933, in Edgerton, Wis., the daughter of Raymond Cook and Jennie (Balke) Cook. She graduated of Edgerton High School in 1951. Janice married Kenneth W. Keul on May 5, 1956 at Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton, Wis. She enjoyed her career as a homemaker, enjoying the day-to-day routines of loving and caring for her family. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she participated in the Miriam Circle, worked with Clothes Closet, and was active with the children's choir and interfaith hospitality. She loved to knit but wasn't a “knitter.” Janice is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (John Michael); two sons, Jonathan "Jon" and Tom; four grandchildren, Jacob, Jared, Morgan and Taylor; brother, Rollin (Janette) Cook; sister, Joan Stockwell; and nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Bernadette Keul; son, Timmy Keul; and husband, Kenneth W. Keul. Funeral Services will be held at the GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 11 am with Rev. Andy Twiton presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021, and also at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. The family requests that you wear your favorite sweatshirt in memory of Janice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank, American Red Cross Southwest Wisconsin Chapter, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Agrace HospiceCare. The family wishes to thank Brad and Cathy for continuing to bring smiles to Janice. She was able to stay at home with the care of her loving family.
