Jan's kind heart and hospitality at church towards me when I was new (and long afterward) was so strong and touching. She always made a space for me to sit with the family, even when I was still a stranger to them. My heart goes out to your beautiful, loving family during this time of heartbreak. May the happy memories of Jan's fun, kind, spunky, strong presence comfort you as she lives on through the multitude of lives she touched. Much love to you all.

Such a shock to see Janice's obituary in the paper. As kids we always had great fun and couldn't wait to go see Uncle Merlin and Aunt Marion so we could play with the cousins. I have nothing but the fondest memories of all of you. Lots of Love Margie "Stoflet" Shafer
