Obituary
MADISON-Charles "Chuck” Kophamer, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. He was born on January 14, 1948, in Milwaukee, the son of Harry and Katherine (Kramasz) Kophamer.
Chuck graduated from Brookfield Central High School and attended the UW Madison. He was employed with TDS as a Technician assisting with the internet before retiring to enjoy more time on the golf course.
Chuck was an avid golfer who frequented the Madison golf courses whenever the weather permitted. He was a fan of most Wisconsin sports including the Badgers, Packers, and Brewers and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He bowled for many years and was proud of having bowled a 300 game. His goal was to make at least one person smile daily with his great sense of humor.
Charles is survived by two daughters, Carmen Kay (David) Lord, and Kimberly Lynn (Richard Bilsie) Schindler; four grandchildren, Emiley and Brett Schindler, Caleb and Aubrey Lord; two sisters, Patricia Ganeles, and Suzan (John) Kemp; his brother, Kurt (Mary); his sister-in-law, Patricia Kophamer and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James

I worked with Chuck for many years and always enjoyed his humor, knowledge, and his willingness to help. He will truly be missed.

We are so sorry for your loss - and our loss. We'll miss Chuck but we'll remember all the good times - the yellow brick road and the three amigos, the water fight, the jokes back and forth (like the toilet bowl on our front porch when we came back from vacation), taking down trees in the back yard, buying his motorcycle, golfing, fishing on opening day, going out to lunch after his cancer treatments, and group pictures of him with the great nurses who took care of him. We've made a donation in his memory to the American Cancer Society. Rest in peace, Chuck.
