Obituary
MADISON - Arlene Kirchesh, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Sebring Assisted Living Facility. She was born on April 8, 1933, in Madison, the daughter of William and Ethel (Kraak) Splees.
Arlene graduated from Madison Business College. She was united in marriage to Henry Kirchesh on Sept. 25, 1965. She worked in the payroll department for the State of Wisconsin for 40 years.
Arlene loved golfing and participated in golfing charities all around the state. She was an avid bowler and received several awards while on many bowling leagues. Arlene enjoyed playing cards. She also loved traveling the world, and exploring such places as Europe, Africa, Spain, Japan, and many more destinations. Arlene was a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 7691 and a member of the Daughters of the Nile.
Arlene is survived by two sons, Craig Kirchesh and Brad (Mindla) Kirchesh; and granddaughter, Courtney Kirchesh. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Henry; brother, William Splees; and sister, Mary (Splees) Schlicht.
A Private family Service will be held.

Our card club enjoyed many laughs and lots of card playing with Arlene for many years. She was an excellent card player along with her other many talents. We will miss her at our monthly get-togethers and are grateful for our happy memories of her.

Was sad to hear of her death. She was a long time friend and we were both members of the Booray poker group for the past 45 years! We went on many trips with this group to Vegas, South Dakota, many casino riverboat ventures and of course our monthly poker games. We also found time and attended many other card playing social events playing 500, eucher, Texasholdem and many more. We had such fun together. She was “up” for anything and always kept herself busy with many of her other favorite activities. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sad time.

Sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. We worked together in the Wisconsin State Patrol’s head office—she for 40 years and me for 38 1/2 years. Arlene was the receptionist when I started working for the Patrol. We both went to Madison Central High School and Madison Business College a few years apart. Our hearts are heavy with the passing of Aunt Arlene. We always waited with anticipation for the annual Christmas letter to see what adventures she was up to. I was so sad to hear about Arlene passing. I was a payroll specialist in Tomah Patrol. We had a lot of fun times together at our payroll meeting. When ever we had a problem or needed an answer we could always call Arlene. U will miss you my dear friend. Diane Huber
