I know that Tom's life was more than softball, but it was on the various area diamonds that I came to know him. Fun loving guy that could hit the ball. I happened to be present when "Mayor" Dick Smith mangled Tom's "TK" moniker and turned it into "TJ". Tom just shook his head, rolled his eyes, snickered and took a swig of fermented malt beverage. Condolences to his family and friends.

Had the pleasure of knowing TK for many years. Played against and with Tom between the white lines and always enjoyed his company. He had a great sense of humor and we shared many laughs on and off the softball diamond. He was absolutely one of a kind. Rest in peace my friend. My sympathy to all his family and friends.

My deepest sympathy to the Kneebone family. I played softball with TK on Chief Auto Parts in late 70’s as we climbed the Madison Softball Leagues up to the “Majors”. So many great memories traveling to weekend tournaments. TK was a bright, kind, fun and funny teammate. He was one of the true team leaders during those years. And he could he hit! Godspeed TK, I hope you’re seeing many “high drop meatballs” in Heaven with Spoon! Tom Noel-Alpharetta, GA

I played softball with “Bone” on Chief’s Auto Parts team. He was unbelievably athletic but more importantly he was a great guy. So sorry for your loss. Will always look back at the few years I played on that team with wonderful memories. It was a funny and fun bunch to be part of !

It was with a mixture of sadness and disbelief that I read Tom had died. I knew him as a care-free freshman at UW-Stevens Point over 50 years ago (can that be right?) We were part of a group of college kids who frequented the "Pour Haus," a local bar that featured live bands on the weekends. My friend Jan was madly in love with him at the time, but it's so long ago, I can't remember what ever came of it! Nice to have happy memories like that of those days, to sustain us when life's realities inevitably start getting in the way, as we fall, one by one, to the illnesses of old age we never imagined getting. Thinking of Tom's family and friends during this sad time.
